La Caleta is a beach located in the historical center of the city of Cádiz, Spain. It is a natural harbor by which Phoenicians, Carthaginians and Romans penetrated historically. It is the smallest beach in the city, and is isolated from the others. It crosses the castles of San Sebastián and Santa Catherine and runs in front of the faculty of Economic and Enterprise Sciences of the Campus of Cadiz of the university of the same name. It has been pictured in one of the recent James Bond movies, in which Halle Berry comes out of the sea: 007: Die Another Day (In the movie, Cádiz was used as a stand-in for Havana.). Natives of Cádiz consider it one of the most emblematic places of their city, and use it as a recurrent song subject during Carnival.

Der Strand Playa de la Caleta befindet sich mitten in der historischen Altstadt von Cadiz und ist eine der Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten der ältesten Stadt Europas. Heute ist die Caleta der Strand der Gaditanos, der Bewohner von Cádiz. Früher war die Caleta der natürliche Hafen der Stadt, der bereits von den Phöniziern genutzt wurde. Noch heute sieht man die Wehranlagen, wie das Castillo de San Sebastián und das Castillo de Santa Catalina. Berühmtheit erreichte der Playa de la Caleta im James Bond Film mit Pierce Brosnon und Halle Berry “Stirb an einem anderen Tag”, wo er als Ersatzkulisse für Habana/Cuba diente.
